Got the blues @ Joules....

My newest brand discovery is the delightful..... Joules. I have known about them for some time but never paid much attention to them if I'm honest, until I saw this absolutely gorgeous sailor style top and fell in love!

Blanche top £55.00

In their own words...."Joules was born in the British countryside and is crafted with true British style and eccentricity - Joules design upbeat, colourful clothing for women, men and children who love the outdoors and live life to the full.'

Sounds like my kind of brand....and after some in depth browsing on their website indeed it is! Look at the beauties below.....

Nathalie dress £59.00

Coralie shorts £45.00

Adele dress £59.00

Monique Skirt £45.00

Nadine dress £55.00

Again slightly out of my normal price range but the quality looks fab and I just adore those contrast zip details. Really, really pretty. I shall be keeping a close eye on this brand from now on...

Bibi's Cake Boutique....

So as I was wandering back to work from my lovely lunch at eteaket in Edinburgh last week, I happened across this fabulous little place called Bibi's Cake Boutique. It must be new as I'm sure I would have ventured in before now if not. I sure do love my cupcakes!

Anyhoo I was full from my lunch but just had to pop in to have a nose at the yummy cakes on display. They stock the following regular flavours:

Chocolate Chilli
Cookies and Cream
Chocolate Orange
Double Chocolate
Chocolate Nutella
Chocolate Cheesecake
White Chocolate and Vanilla
Chocolate and Marshmallow
Lemon
Vanilla Cream
Banoffee
Smarties
Hazelnut
Latte
After Eight
Victoria Sponge
Red Velvet
Blueberry and Cream Cheese

I really cant wait to return to sunny Edinburgh so I can go and sample some of the above....my mouth is watering just writing about it! Just look at the below window display....patriotic cupcake heaven!

I shall keep you posted on my return but if you want any more info until then you can visit their website here.

Strawberries and cream....

During my trip to beautiful Edinburgh this week I popped back into one of my favourite little places to lunch, eteaket.

This time around I thought I'd opt for somehing a little bit more adventourous and tried a Strwaberries and Cream infusion whiich is built on a base of apple pieces, hibiscus blossoms, elderberries, rose hip peel, pineapple cubes and strawberry pieces. Wow, it smelt amazing!

And look at the size of the sandwiches, they're humungous. So fresh and yummy.

I would totally recommend a visit if you're in the area. For more info you can access their webite here.

Hope youre having a great wknd! I'm off to bake some cakes....

Fuelling my addiction....

Some of you may already know, but I have a slight shopping addiction to Zara, mentioned in my previous post here. I cant remember the last time I went into that store and didnt see at least 5 things that I could easily buy, then and there if I had a big enough purse. I have tried to stay away but the thrill of online browsing has pulled me in yet again and I have fallen in love with all of the below.

Double breasted trench coat ₤59.99. Shop here. I actually love this whole outfit. Simple but chic!

Striped sheath skirt ₤25.99. Shop here. My love affair with nautical stripes continues!

Basket messenger bag ₤39.99. Shop here. I have actually been lusting after the larger version of this bag as a replacement work bag but I couldn't see it online. I'm hoping it will go into the next sale as I really can't justify spending ₤70 on a bag right now.

Tulip skirt dress ₤69.99. Shop here.

Printed trousers ₤39.99. Shop here.

Wedge straps ₤39.99. Shop here. These also come in Fuschia, Nude and Mustard and I would happily have them all!

Without realising, until I looked at the pictures again, I seem to be drawn to a mixture of green and blue. Interesting!

(Sigh!) The evergrowing wishlist continues!

Dah-ling dresses....

Having a browse through the 'New In' pages of Asos and these gorgeous frocks caught my eye. I've known about the Dahlia brand for a while but have never visited there website until now...more fool me! I think I possibly love every single thing on there at the moment. Shame I've already spent my clothing allowance for this month and I'm trying to curb my spending!

Dahlia tiered bell sleeve shift dress ₤68.00

Dahlia heart print chiffon playsuit ₤65.00

Dahlia heart print tea dress ₤62.00

Dahlia anchor print chiffon tea dress ₤65.00

Dahlia contrast collar tea dress with neck tie ₤62.00

Dahlia button front spotty sleeveless dress ₤62.00

All of the above pictures and prices are from asos.com but you can also visit Dahlia's website here for even more loveliness..

The pricing is a bit more than I would normally look to pay but that super lovely anchor print dress could definitely tempt me to spend. Oh well must be good and wait until next month!

New additions....

With Spring in full bloom and new additions springing up in nature I thought it only natural that I share with you all some new additions of my own.

These were pieces that I coveted from afar for ages due to lack of funds, but last month with the sun beginning to shine and a few extra pennies in my pockets, I managed to add these now 'how did I ever live without them' pieces to my wardrobe.

The tan Carvela block heel sandals. Shop here. I was searching for quite a while for a summer shoe option that would replace my beloved and much worn this winter tan lace up boots. I am not a keen wearer of heels but for work I like a shoe that smartens me up a bit but which is easy to drive and walk about in. With this in mind I wanted a heel of a certain size and the above came up trumps. I know that I'm going to wear these sandals with so many outfits this summer and have already started wearing them with tights and ankle socks.

Topshop High waisted mid stone Kristin jeans. Shop here.

These jeans are fabulous. So comfy and 'no builders bum' to worry about when bending over whilst at work. Perfect!

Knitted cape from Topshop ₤10.00 (Sale item)

I love this cape, its a great alternative to a jacket when the weather is still slightly nippy that you need that extra layer. I shall be wearing it lots with the jeans shown above, stripey breton top and ballet pumps. My bargain of the month!
