The Hidden Lane Tearoom in Glasgow.....

I was recommended to try out this little place by a friend who lives and works in the area. She is aware of my penchant for all things tea related and as I was working in Glasgow this week I thought it would be rude not to go check it out!

The Hidden Lane Tearoom really does live up to the name and it took me a few minutes driving around and scouring the street for signposts before I finally stumbled across the location. Once located and food and beverages ordered I was able to take in my cosy surroundings.


The decor is very much cobbled together but it definitely adds charm and warmth to the place and anywhere that serves food and drink in vintage crockery is brilliant in my book!

I had a ham, cheese and tomato mayo sandwich and it was delicious. They use fresh local produce and the quality shines through. For a naughty treat I sampled one of their delightful homemade cupcakes, almost too pretty to eat, and had a good old pot of Tetley tea. (sometimes you just cant beat it!)

Bit of a summery outfit but I actually put this together when we still had a bit of warmth in the air. Not quite sure what is happening with our old British summer time at the moment though as it feels more like Autumn as I sit and write this, wrapped up in a hoody, drinking a big cup of tea to keep warm! Who would have guessed it was August?? Bizarre. Oh well gives me a good excuse to get on with choosing my Autumn wardrobe. Woohoo....like I need an excuse!

On vacation...

So I've been awol for the last couple of months due to technology. I'm awaiting a brand new laptop which I'm purchasing for myself next month as a birthday treat. The computer I was using before was extremely old and I was getting increasingly frustrated with not being able to access certain blogs and leave messages or even reply to peoples lovely comments on here. I will be back with a bang next month and have loads I want to share and feature if you want to keep following.

My newest brand discovery is the delightful..... Joules. I have known about them for some time but never paid much attention to them if I'm honest, until I saw this absolutely gorgeous sailor style top and fell in love!

Bibi's Cake Boutique....

So as I was wandering back to work from my lovely lunch at eteaket in Edinburgh last week, I happened across this fabulous little place called Bibi's Cake Boutique. It must be new as I'm sure I would have ventured in before now if not. I sure do love my cupcakes!

Anyhoo I was full from my lunch but just had to pop in to have a nose at the yummy cakes on display. They stock the following regular flavours:

Strawberries and cream....

During my trip to beautiful Edinburgh this week I popped back into one of my favourite little places to lunch, eteaket.

This time around I thought I'd opt for somehing a little bit more adventourous and tried a Strwaberries and Cream infusion whiich is built on a base of apple pieces, hibiscus blossoms, elderberries, rose hip peel, pineapple cubes and strawberry pieces. Wow, it smelt amazing!



And look at the size of the sandwiches, they're humungous. So fresh and yummy.

Fuelling my addiction....

I cant remember the last time I went into that store and didnt see at least 5 things that I could easily buy, then and there if I had a big enough purse.
